Similar to the Jacksonian buttons, Jacksonian Cousins either: do not contain a separtate rim, do not have raised letters on thier backmarks or do not have the traditional designs distinctive of Jacksonian buttons.

This is a flat one piece flat brass, but without the rim. As with true Jacksonian, these button were produced from the 1830's and 40's.
